Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you're new to therapy or have worked with therapists before, it's normal to have questions before you begin.

All sessions are are online via a secure video platform. They are 45 minutes long and we typically plan to meet weekly to start.
I am available Tuesday-Thursday, 10 am-5 pm. -
Every client's story is different, and there is no set "timeline" for therapy.
That said, I generally recommend starting with a commitment of 8-12 sessions. That gives us enough time to go beneath the surface, build real momentum, and start experiencing something genuinely different.
Many people feel that's enough, others continue for several sessions beyond that, and some work with me for a year or more. We check in regularly to make sure our time together is still serving you and you're always in the driver's seat when it comes to our plan.

The first intake session is $250. Follow-up sessions are $185 for individuals and $200 for couples.

I'm intentionally an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill your insurance directly. Working outside of insurance allows me to protect your privacy, avoid assigning diagnoses that follow you around, and design treatment that's actually built around you rather than what an insurance company will approve.
Many clients use HSA, FSA, or HRA accounts to cover sessions, and depending on your plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement through out-of-network benefits. Reach out and I'll send you a free guide to help you find out more about your out-of-network benefits. -
For couples, yes. This is what makes our work progress much faster than weekly sessions alone. Between sessions, you'll work through my Gottman-based resources and exercises at home.
For individuals, it depends. Some find reflection exercises and practices helpful, where others may need different kinds of support between our sessions. Either way, what you carry into your daily life between sessions matters just as much as what happens in the room. -
Finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the process, and it's completely okay to not know if we're a good fit until we talk.
That's exactly what the free 15-minute consultation is for. It's a low-stakes conversation where you can get a feel for who I am, how I work, and whether this feels right for you.

For clients who have a spiritual practice, bringing their religion into therapy can be incredibly powerful.
Faith means something different to everyone who brings it into the room. For some clients, their faith is a foundation they want woven into the work. For others, it's more complicated. They may have beliefs they're questioning, shame they're working through, or values that feel hard to reconcile with the life they're living. I get it. I attended Bethel Theological Seminary and have a background in Christian counseling, so I know this territory well and have the language to navigate it with you.
I also have experience working with clients who practice other spiritual belief systems, or none at all.
Everyone is welcome here.
